Winter Chub (with Matt Hayes)

Matt Hayes has the reputation of being one of the finest all round big fish anglers in Britain. His innovative approach to angling has led to the downfall of many specimen fish from still waters and rivers including barbel, chub, roach, tench, pike, perch and carp. His self confessed first love is river fishing, a passion that was uniquely captured in his first DVD project ‘ Following in Crabtree’s Footsteps’ which covered a whole seasons angling on moving water. This latest project,‘ The River Series’, is one in which Matt will concentrate in more depth on techniques and methods he uses to such great effect on our rivers and streams. Each species receives special attention and the viewer will be treated to an insight into the rigs, baits, tackle and tactics which will put more fish on the bank. ’ Winter Chub’ is no exception, as you join Matt on the bank for several sessions which encompass a range of techniques and river conditions. Rather than shoot ‘ Winter Chub’ in one day, Matt felt that separate sessions would enable him to cover a greater range of chub fishing tactics in more detail. As you would expect from a Matt Hayes DVD the instructional elements are balanced with plenty of action, with specimen chub being caught. And of course there is atmosphere and excitement, a bi-product of Matt’s enthusiasm and ability to narrate a fishing series as it is. Look out for future titles in ‘The River Series’ including ‘ The Enigmatic Barbel’ and ‘ On Brook and Stream’ , due for release shortly.
