Use a standard wheelchair on the beach and all terrain with this conversion kit.

Why limit your access to hard smooth surfaces? With this kit of parts it is possible to convert any standard wheelchair so that it can roll over soft sand, shingle, pebbles, rocky and muddy surfaces of all sorts, so that you can go across the beach and out into the countryside.

All terrain beach wheelchairs are large, heavy, expensive items but with this kit it is possible to convert any standard chair to take the balloon wheels.
The kit comprises -
Two 49cm PU wheels with stainless steel bearings for the rear.
Two 30cm PU wheels with stainless steel bearings for the front.
Two aluminium axles to suit.
Four wheel retaining clips
A range of fittings and spacers to suit your chair.

With balloon wheels fitted it is difficult to propel yourself so a pusher will normally be required.
The front wheels are non steering so skid steering is required, again a pusher is usually required.
For most though not all chairs the standard brakes will no longer work, so steep slopes should be avoided.
