Virage is a hi-tech, top quality pure fluorocarbon monofilament with a breaking strain and knot strength of the highest calibre.

VISIBILITY
Virage is virtually invisible in water due to its light refraction index of 1.3 that is almost identical to that of water. This means that Virage is less noticeable to fish than normal mono.

FAST SINKING
Virage sinks and sinks quickly. When compared with water, which has a specific gravity 1.0, Virage has a specific gravity of 1.77. This means that Virage will sink around three times more quickly than normal nylon. In laboratory tests, Virage takes only 25 seconds to sink 60cm, while the fastest sinking Nylon takes 65 seconds to reach the same depth
RELIABILITY
Water absorption affects both the linear strength and more significantly the knot strength of nylon. This effect can reduce it’s knot breaking strain by as much as 20%. Virage absorbs no water, regardless of the time it is submerged, so it always maintains it’s full knot strength.

U.V. STABLE
Virage is unaffected by ultraviolet light so it won’t deteriorate when exposed to direct sunlight. The improved catch rates that result from Fluorocarbon’s special characteristics in the areas of game, sea and match fishing have persuaded many people that the higher price of fluorocarbon is well worth the investment.
