Red Ice has grown and grown in popularity since it’s introduction a few years ago and has become Ultima’s most popular all round saltwater product.

Red Ice has also proved highly popular when fishing from the shore on either shingle or rocky beaches, as it copes very well with rough ground due, to the inherent high abrasion resistance of its main copolymer component. This, together with it’s exceptional knot strength have made Red Ice a firm favourite with all who have used it, including night anglers who find Red Ice the most easily visible in dark conditions.

What more can I say? I have yet to find a tougher line to literally live on my reels : easy to see colour, awesome medium to rough ground performance, hugely strong and casts like a dream. I have seen this line land sharks well in excess of 200lbs off Namibian beaches, and you can’t put line through a tougher test than that.
