PRESENTATION
Presentation is possibly the most critically important factor in the quest to increase bites and catch rates. Our goal with Power Silk was to deliver ultimate presentation to the competition angler as well as maximum strength.

SUPER SOFT TECHNOLOGY
Power Silk’s superb strength and thin diameter were a great start. Monofilament is processed in a softening bath after it is produced. Improved softening results were achieved by doubling the bath time and altering the bath medium formula. Further softening was achieved by then adding a fluorocarbon coating to make Power Silk the softest line on the market.

MASSIVE STRENGTH
The highest quality Japanese copolymers have been used to give Power Silk an incredibly high linear and knot strength which must be the basis for any successful match line. Production is carried out in small carefully controlled batches to ensure accuracy of diameter and consistent quality control, often difficult in these very fine diameters.

ULTRA HIGH KNOT STRENGTH
The fluorocarbon coating also has the effect of providing a waterproof coating to Power Silk. As many people know monofilament absorbs water when submerged. This water absorption swells the line and reduces the knot strength by 10 -15% after being in water for any period of time. As Power Silk is water resistant, this no longer happens. Consequently Power Silk maintains its knot strength at maximum no matter how long it is in use, a critical bonus, particularly when you want to fish as thin as possible using very fine hook lengths.
